Golfer Shivaram Shrestha was declared the Player of Year (male) and weightlifter Taradevi Pun was picked the Player of Year (female). Likewise, cricketer Prithu Baskota was chosen as the Youth Player of the Year. [break]
Ramila Tandukar (volleyball) was voted through SMS as the Popular Player of the Year. Cricket coach Jagat Tamata was selected as the Coach of the Year and Sharmila Lamichhane, the Para Athlete of the Year.
The NSJF also conferred Bhupendra Silwal (athletics), the first Nepali Olympian, with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Ratan Tandan, president of Nepal Weightlifting Association, the Special Award.
