The performances at the event ranged from poetry recitation to parody songs to ‘magic dance’ performed by renowned Nepali humorists and artists.
“For my performance ‘Aakraman’, I’ve been dressed up as Hanuman, the character in Ramayan. My role tries to portray the rage of Nepali people against the political system of Nepal, but in a humorous way. Just like Hanuman set Lanka on fire, my character shows similar possibilities for the political system if it does no good to the citizens in the future. The play also expresses the desperate pleas on behalf of the Nepalis for the election and the importance of youths’ participation in politics,” shared Daman Rupakheti, popular comedian and actor. “The audiences have been giving good feedbacks and been entertained by the show till date,” he added.
The show will continue till August 31.
