SANKHUWASABHA, Aug 29: Sankhuwasabha district has, for the first time, appointed a female Chief District Officer (CDO). Joint Secretary Srijana Thapaliya has assumed the role, becoming the 48th CDO in the district’s history.
Before this appointment, Thapaliya was serving at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

Speaking with journalists after taking charge, she pledged to utilize her administrative experience for the development and upliftment of Sankhuwasabha.
“I will fulfill my responsibilities within the framework of laws and regulations, working in cooperation with leaders of all political parties, intellectuals, and civil society,” she said.
