International Marketing Service (IMS), the authorized distributor for Samsung mobile in Nepal, is introducing Galaxy S4 Mini in the last week of July.
Samsung launched the phone in India on Tuesday. It is priced at Rs 27,900 in India. It is believed to bridge the gap between Galaxy Grand and Galaxy S3.
“As the S4 Mini is expected to do well in India, we are hopeful that it will become popular in Nepali market as well,” Bishal Acharya, CEO of IMS, said.
The S4 Mini features a 4.3-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) Super AMOLED display with pixel density of 256ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM. It offers 8GB of internal storage of which 5GB is user accessible. The internal storage can be further expanded by up to 64GB with the help of a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system with Samsung´s TouchWiz Nature UX layer on top. [break]
The phone sports an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.9 MP HD front camera for video calling. The camera also supports additional features like Sound&Shot. Apart from this, the images clicked through the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini are automatically gathered and saved according to the user´s timeline, geo-tagging information, or a specific event to create a photo album, according to officials of IMS. The phone is powered by a 1,900mAh battery.
The phone will be available in two color options -- White Frost and Black Mist.
The S4 Mini will be available at around Rs 45,000, said Acharya.
IMS is launching seven other smartphones, including three tablet PCs, in July.
