BIRATNAGAR, Sept 16: Central member of the Nepali Congress (NC), Arjun Narsingh KC, has said reinstating the Constituent Assembly (CA) is a meaningless debate.

At a news conference organized by the Nepal Press Union, Morang, on Sunday, KC said there was no meaning in reinstating the CA for a short period, as the CA could not give the constitution even in four years.[break]

He said the UCPN (Maoist) is moving ahead willfully after discarding the main essence of the interim constitution—consensus, collaboration and unity, and stressed that the country would not get any solution from it.

Leader KC clarified that the NC is in favour of fresh mandate for the Constituent Assembly (CA).
