BHAIRAHAWA, April 4: President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has said that the government’s Private Sector Protection and Promotion Programme (PSPP) will help boost the morale of the private sector.
Addressing the eighth assembly of the Lumbini Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhakal said the private sector has responded positively to the PSPP initiative. “We have long been demanding a concrete action plan for the protection and promotion of the private sector. We are grateful that the government has incorporated our concerns,” he said.

Dhakal also underscored the need for industry-friendly policies, drawing a parallel with the government’s move to declare the education sector a ‘zone of peace’. He urged the government to introduce policy measures that ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of industries.
Senior Vice-President of FNCCI, Anjan Shrestha, emphasised the importance of functional unity among entrepreneurs to effectively address the challenges facing the private sector. – RSS
