KATHMANDU, March 31: The pro-monarchy group has caused damage and looting worth over Rs 8.33 million at the Bhat-Bhateni in Koteshwor last Friday.
A group of anarchists, who had set a building on fire in Tinkune, reached Koteshwor and caused damage to the building and vehicles at Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket by throwing stones. Afterward, they entered the supermarket and looted goods. Police have arrested those involved in the vandalism and looting and are proceeding with legal action.

According to Bhat-Bhateni, the damage to the building from the vandalism amounts to Rs 1.185 million. Additionally, goods worth approximately Rs 6.488 million were destroyed. A freezer and showcase worth Rs 265,000 were also damaged and Rs 94,000 in cash was stolen.
Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket has claimed insurance for the equivalent amount.
