BUTWAL, Sept 16: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Wednesday urged all Nepalis to unite to institutionalize peace and change. “We must join hands with each other to institutionalize peace and change,” Dr Yadav told reporters in Butwal.

Claiming that there were still some remnants of killings and violence, he said it is imperative to end such activities soon. He was of the view that the people must unite to build a strong and capable country.

Yadav came to Lumbini on an army helicopter on Wednesday from Pokhara to visit the Mayadevi temple. A large number of security personnel was mobilized for his security. The Maoists, who were not allowed to enter the Lumbini Development Trust premises till the President left, shouted slogans by showing black flags some 2 km away from the area. The President stayed in Lumbini for three hours.
