Prez extends the deadline by five days

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: President Ram Baran Yadav has extended the deadline to form a national consensus government by five days upon request of the political parties.



Earlier, the top leaders of three main political parties on Friday agreed to ask the President for five move days to form a national consensus government.



In a meeting held at the Ministry of Peace, UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML will take the proposal to a meeting of 28 parties for endorsement.[break]



A meeting of 28 political parties represented in the parliament will be held Friday afternoon to endorse the agreement of extending the deadline of consensus government formation.
