The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office said that the deployment aims to ensure a well-managed and orderly celebration.

Likewise, the traffic police office has reinforced security checks, as Holi often sees unruly activities, including the reckless throwing of water balloons, the consumption of alcohol before driving, and other disturbances.

Checkpoints have been set up at key locations, including Thapathali, Tripureshwor, New Road, Kantipath, Durbar Marg, Bhadra Kali, and Baggi Khana, among others.

To maintain order, Nepal Police has stationed teams at over 90 locations in Kathmandu and is monitoring public spaces and Holi venues through CCTV and drones.

Authorities have urged the public to celebrate Holi in a disciplined and respectful manner and to avoid playing on rooftops or in other risky areas.
