KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Police have taken a man into custody along with a “gas gun” that had been looted during the GenZ protests.
Based on the statement of Shivaraj Dhamala, who was arrested on Wednesday, police arrested Jiban Chalaune of Tikapur, Kailali. Dhamala, who also works as a Pathao rider, was found with three weapons during Wednesday’s arrest.

According to police, a female officer befriended Dhamala on Facebook to gather information about the weapons. Acting on his statement, police recovered the gas gun from Chalaune’s rented room in Tinkune. He too has been taken into custody, confirmed SP Kaji Kumar Acharya, spokesperson for the Valley Crime Investigation Office.
Dhamala was arrested from Tarkeshwor. The two are said to be friends.
