PM Oli’s house set ablaze – One injured in police firing

KATHMANDU, Sep 9: Protestors have set ablaze the house of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Balkot, Bhaktapur.

A thick cloud of smoke from PM Oli’s house was seen from as far away as the Madhyapur Thimi area. Videos on social media show hundreds of agitated protestors around the house engulfed in flames.


Before the vandalism, police opened fire in an attempt to stop the angry mob from entering the house. A local resident, Ram Mishra, sustained injuries due to police firing and was rushed to a nearby hospital, according to witnesses.
