PM Oli happy with India visit

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in six-day visit to India, has said that Nepal's constitution was made in a democratic process and that it included all the democratic and fundamental rights.

"The constitution has no provision that discriminates any citizen based on religion, ethnicity, caste or any other ground," Oli said in a press conference held in New Delhi. "We have already amended the new constitution and we are still open to address other genuine demands if any."The prime minister said that his visit mainly aimed at clearing misunderstandings with India and that he was very happy with the progress made there.

Oli called on Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice-president Hamid Ansari and held one-on-one meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
