KATHMANDU, Nov. 17: All the services at Patan Hospital are resuming from Sunday after the hospital staff including doctors withdrew their programmes of protest.

Doctors and other staffers at the hospital who were on strike since the last one month demanding the resignation of the Vice Chancellor and the Rector of Patan Academy of Health Sciences withdrew their protest programmes as per the suggestions of the locals and the stakeholders.

However, the striking doctors and health staff of the hospital are to continue with their pre-scheduled protest programme of staging an hour-long sit-in at the office of the Vice Chancellor and the Rector and preventing them from entering their respective offices.

Earlier, the agitating side had announced that they would halt all but the emergency services at the hospital beginning Sunday. They had closed all services except emergency service on Friday and Saturday.

Patan Hospital is run under the Patan Academy of Health Sciences.
