The Karnali Transport Entrepreneurs Association has brought vehicular services to a grinding halt, saying that Chandannath Pvt. Ltd has started operating vehicular services along the Karnali Highway without fulfilling due procedures.
With the strike, hundreds of passengers have been stranded in Jumla bus park area. The vehicles plying from Jumla to Nepalgunj and Kathmandu have stayed off the road.
"The Chandannath Pvt. Ltd has waged an unhealthy competition against Karnali Transport Entrepreneurs Association," Min Bahadur Thapa of the association told Repblica Online.
The association said it will continue their strike until a probe committee is formed to look into the case.
