KATHMANDU, June 28: K. P. Sharma Oli, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, better known as Prachanda, and Madhav Kumar Nepal are set to appear on the same stage on Sunday during a special event marking the 75th birth anniversary of Madan Bhandari.
They will be joined by Jhala Nath Khanal and Upendra Yadav, chair of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal.
Oli-Prachanda deusi duet goes viral
Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari will attend the event as the chief guest. Oli, Prachanda, Nepal, Khanal and Yadav are all scheduled to address the gathering.
The event will mark one of the few occasions in recent years that Oli and Madhav Nepal have appeared together at the same public function following their political split.
The program, titled "Nepal's Communist Movement and People's Leader Madan Bhandari," will begin at 1:30 pm at the Rastriya Sabha Griha. It is being organized by the Madan Bhandari Foundation and will also include the presentation of the Madan Bhandari National Award.
