PANCHTHAR, Oct 7: Claiming that a girl had died due to the negligence of health workers, Panchthar Hospital was vandalized by a group of people on Wednesday morning.

As Kristina Thamsuhang, a three and a half years old daughter of Kamal Thamsuhang of Phalelung Rural Municipality-8 of the district died at the hospital on Wednesday morning, the relatives and other locals protested against the ‘negligence’ of the health workers.

Although discussions were held between the hospital administration, district’s administrative body and the girl's relatives, they could not reach a conclusion. Therefore, the agitated crowd vandalized the hospital. Police fired tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd but in vain.
