ISLAMABAD, Nov 25: The Pakistan Cricket Board says it is up to the government to green-light the series against India next month.

PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan met with Board of Control for Cricket in India counterpart Shashank Manohar in Dubai last week, in a meeting organized by Giles Clarke, who heads the ICC Pakistan task force. All three officials are tight-lipped on what was decided in the meeting, but Sri Lanka was reportedly chosen as the venue for the series.

The PCB says it has informed the government about the "fruitful" talks in Dubai, and the BCCI is also seeking its government's view.

The PCB also says it has not asked for a no objection certificate from the government, "for it is the government's prerogative to decide on the issue."
