Over 50 huts demolished in Kanchanpur

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, March 29: A joint team of the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Tuesday demolished more than 50 huts constructed encroaching land belonging to the Mahendranagar Town Development Committee of Bhimdutta Municipality-18 in Kanchanpur district this morning.Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kedar Khanal, said that the huts were demolished using force after the encroachers neglected the frequent request of local administration. The huts were constructed at an Eco-Park illegally.

Khanal said that the encroachers have also cut hundreds of Sal tress in the park, spread on 35 bighas of land. RSS
