Outrage in Kathmandu over terror killing of Nepali youth in Kashmir

Dozens gathered in Kathmandu on Friday to protest the killing of Sudip Neupane, a 27-year-old Nepali national, who died in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, India.

KATHMANDU, April 26: Dozens gathered in Kathmandu on Friday to protest the killing of Sudip Neupane, a 27-year-old Nepali national, who died in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, India.


Neupane, a resident of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-14, was traveling in Kashmir when gunmen opened fire, claiming his life.

In response, members of Nagarik Abhiyan (Nepal Civil Campaign) staged a demonstration outside the Pakistani Embassy, waving banners and chanting slogans against terrorism. Protesters condemned the attack and demanded justice for the slain youth.


The demonstration underscored growing anger in Nepal over the targeting of civilians abroad and called for stronger international measures to combat terrorism.
