One injured in police firing amid clash over chowk naming

Police had to fire shots to control the clash. They said that the injured are being brought to Janakpur Provincial Hospital for treatment.

DHANUSHA, March 17: A clash erupted between two groups over the naming of a chowk in Bhatihan, Sabaila Municipality-9, Dhanusha. One person was injured after police fired shots to control the situation. 


According to Dhanusha Police, one person was injured in the shooting. His identity has not been disclosed.

A board with the word Yadav Chowk was put up at the chowk in Bhatihan some time ago. After that, tension has increased between the two groups since Sunday after other communities removed the board
