BHAKTAPUR, March 3: Police have arrested a 31-year-old man in possession of a rifle in Bhaktapur.
The suspect, originally from Ward No. 9 of Palungtar Municipality in Gorkha District and currently residing in Ward No. 8, Bhumdol, Suryabinayak, was apprehended this morning at around 9 AM, according to the District Police Range Bhaktapur.
'Exploring Bhaktapur' on display
Police said the accused was found in possession of an INSAS rifle (registration number A8896). Also recovered from him were four rounds of SLR ammunition, one plastic round, one shotgun round, one khukuri, two khukuri sheaths, one axe, and five syringes used for drug administration.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Jabeyu of the District Police Range Bhaktapur said further investigation into the case is underway.
