The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Smaran Gurung, according to Hemant Kumar Thapa, chief of Bhote Odar-based Area Police Office. The critically injured Gurung breathed his last on Thursday night while undergoing treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara.
The jeep with registration number Na 2 Cha 9360 heading toward Bhote Odar from Gahate met with an accident at Sundarbazaar at 7:45 pm. Among the 20 injured are 10 men and 10 women. They are undergoing treatment at local hospitals, according to the police.
All the persons travelling in the jeep were players of Bhote Odar Youth Club.
