KATHMANDU, Nov 8: Nepal Rastra Bank is going to sell treasury bills worth Rs 6.10 billion. The central bank is going to auction off treasury bills worth Rs 6 billion and Rs 100 million for a period of 182 days and 91 days, respectively.
According to the NRB, the 91-day treasury will mature on February 8 and the 182-day treasury will mature on May 10, 2022. Earlier, the central bank had sold Rs 1.66 billion in treasury on November 1.
NRB auctioning off treasury bills

The bidding for the bonds will be open online at 2 PM today, according to NRB. The central bank will issue a treasury bill on Tuesday to the highest bidder among the A, B and C class banks, other financial institutions, non-bank and financial institutions participating in the bidding. NRB sells such bonds every week through a bidding process to raise short-term loans required by the government.
