KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Two matches are set to be played today in the ongoing second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) in Kathmandu.
In the first match, scheduled for 11:15 AM at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Sudurpashchim Royals will take on Biratnagar Kings. The second match, at 3:30 PM, will feature Chitwan Rhinos against Pokhara Avengers.
Two matches scheduled in NPL today: Who is playing whom?
Sudurpashchim, unbeaten so far, have already secured a place in the first qualifier with 12 points from six matches and will face no pressure. Biratnagar, who have secured a playoff spot with eight points, must win today to qualify for the first qualifier.
If Biratnagar win with a strong run rate, they will play with Sudurpashchim in the first qualifier. Otherwise, they will face the Lumbini Lions in the eliminator. The first qualifier will then be played between Sudurpashchim and Kathmandu Gorkhas.
The afternoon match will be a battle of pride between Chitwan and Pokhara, both of whom are out of the playoff race with only four points each from six matches.
