No alternative to timely statute: Nepal

KATHMANDU, March 30: CPN-UML senior leader and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said there is no alternative to the promulgation of the new statute within May 27.



Speaking at a program organized to celebrate the 14th anniversary of Reporters Club, Nepal opined that there could be no issue in the making of the new constitution that is irreconcilable. [break]



"The (new) constitution can be drafted within the stipulated time.  For that to happen, the leaders should be committed towards the process," he said.
