KATHMANDU, Dec 18: At least nine persons were injured in a jeep accident that occurred in Umakunda Rural Municipality-7 of Ramechhap district on Saturday morning. The jeep fell some 50 meters off the road after it went out of control on a gravel road.
One killed, six injured in Ramechhap jeep accident
According to the District Police Office, Ramechhap, the accident occurred when the jeep heading towards Umakunda village from Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-1, Duragaun met with an accident at around 11:45 am. The condition of three of the injured in the accident is said to be critical.
The critically injured in the accident were airlifted to Kathmandu via a Nepal Army chopper for treatment. While four persons who sustained minor injuries are being treated at the District Hospital, Manthali, two others injured have returned home after receiving primary treatment.
