KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Popular Nepali band Nepathya is set to make February a month of music even as the country gears up for upcoming elections. The band will kick off its domestic tour on February 4 with concerts in four cities.
The tour will begin in Hetauda at the Bhutandevi Secondary School grounds, followed by a performance in Butwal at the Butwal International Convention Center on February 7. Nepathya will then perform in Narayanghat at Campa Chaur on February 10. The tour will conclude with the band’s debut performance in the hill town of Bandipur on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
Nepathya to perform in western Australia
Lead singer Amrit Gurung said he is excited to return to familiar cities and described performing in Bandipur as a unique and special experience. Local organizers for the tour include Ramailo Events in Hetauda, Backup Event Management in Butwal, Nepal Diaries in Narayanghat, and Khadgadevi Bandipur Youth Club in Bandipur. Early bird tickets for some cities have already sold out, while discounted tickets for students and special groups remain available in limited numbers.
The tour lineup includes Amrit Gurung on vocals, Dhurba Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard. Tickets can be booked online through Nepathya’s official website, www.nepathya.com.np.
The second leg of Nepathya’s domestic tour is scheduled for November.
