KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Nepali U-19 women's cricket team captain Pooja Mahato has become the highest wicket-taker in the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup (WC), reaching the group stage and playoff matches.
She has climbed to the top of the highest wicket-takers as of current by taking four wickets in the playoff match against Malaysia on Friday. She has taken nine wickets in four matches.

Sri Lanka's Chamodi Praboda is in second place on the list with seven wickets, while Scotland's Maisie Maceira is in third place, and India's Vaishnavi Sharma and Aayushi Shukla are in fourth and fifth place.
Now that the Super Six and semi-final matches are yet to be played, other players will move up the list. For now, Mahato is at the top.
Nepal has bowled out Malaysia for 45 runs. Pooja took four wickets for nine runs in 3.5 overs. Nepal has a chance to score a consolation win today.
