The match between Nepal v PNG will be played at the Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi, in the UAE at 11.15 NST.The match will be fourth List A (50-over) for Nepal in the championship as Nepal earlier played against Scotland in the first round.
Although Nepal has already played three matches, it is still winless in the championship being played by eight teams in round robin format. The top six teams will get chances to play qualifiers for the 2019 ICC World Cup.
Nepal faced three runs defeat in the first and faced nine-wicket defeat in the second match against Scotland in July in the first round of the championship.
Nepal faced its third defeat in the championship against PNG on Monday. Nepal lost the match by two wickets as it failed to defend 232 runs.
The match between Nepal and PNG will not only be vital for the team but also for Coach Pubudu Dassanayake as the encounter will be last match for Nepal. Coach Dassanayake had earlier resigned from the post saying that match against PNG will be his last assignment for Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
Meanwhile, Coach Dassanayake said that Nepal will try its best to win the match against PNG. "We will try our best to win tomorrow's match against PNG," said Dassanayake.
"I was blessed to be associated with such an energetic and hard-working playing group [Nepali cricket team]," added Dassanayake.
International Cricket Council (ICC) had awarded the hosting right of the championship to Nepal, however, following the devastating April 25th earthquake and aftershocks and reports of poor ground condition prompted the ICC to shift the match to the UAE.
However, the UAE turned to be a boon for Nepal as it got the opportunity to play four matches besides the championship.
Nepal played a two-day match against Hong Kong and 50-over matches against Pakistan, Danube Club and Oman before the championship.
Nepal's best experience was against Pakistanis as the Test-playing nation had fielded full strength team against Nepal.
