The ICC had earlier announced that the match between Nepal and Scotland will be held on June 10 and 12 in Scotland. But the CAN has urged the world cricket governing body to postpone the matches after ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers, which is slated from July 6 to 26 in Ireland and Scotland, according CAN acting general secretary Uttam Karmacharya."We have requested ICC to change the schedule after ICC World Twenty20 Qualifiers as the earthquake damaged Tribhuvan University Ground as well as indoor training hall that has hampered training of Nepali team," Karmacharya told. He added that CAN has sent formal letters to ICC six days ago requesting change in schedule. "The ICC has yet to respond to the request," he informed.
Nepal is also taking part in the qualifiers for the ICC World Twenty20 to be held in 2016 in India.
Meanwhile, CAN acting general secretary Karmacharya said that the cricket governing body in the country has not been informed officially regarding support announced by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for Nepali cricket.
The BCCI had said last week that it has decided to open the gates of its training facilities and technical expertise to Nepali cricketers till the country recovers from the natural calamity.
