KATHMANDU, Aug 27: The Nepal-Pakistan Friendship Festival concluded in Kathmandu with resounding success.
The three-day event was organized through the collaborative efforts of the Centre for Asian Studies and the Mahakali Dance Council, in association with the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu. The event drew participation from over 700 students representing 30 schools from across the Kathmandu Valley.
Digitized era of friendship
The students engaged in spirited competitions encompassing essay writing, handwriting, painting, and captivating cultural dances. These activities not only fostered creativity but also promoted cultural exchange and understanding.
Umair Ali, the Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu, graced the closing ceremony of the event as the Chief Guest. Ali presented the awards to the winners across diverse categories in the ceremony held on Saturday.
Adding a touch of grace and distinction to the proceedings, Nisha Sharma Pokharel, the Chancellor of the Nepal Academy of Music & Drama, also attended the event as the Special Guest.
