KATHMANDU, Oct 14: Nepal received remittance earning of Rs 352.08 billion in the first two months of the current fiscal year (FY).
According to a report unveiled by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Tuesday, the remittance inflow increased by 33.1 percent during mid-July and mid-September this year. The growth was 15.8 percent in the same period of the last FY.

In the US Dollar terms, remittance inflows increased 27.6 percent to 2.52 billion in the review period. In the second month alone, the remittance inflow was recorded at Rs 174.67 billion, compared to Rs 127.99 billion of FY 2024/25.
Meanwhile, the country’s foreign exchange reserves increased 7.6 percent to Rs 2,881.35 billion in mid-September 2025 from Rs 2,677.68 billion at the end of the last FY. In US dollar terms, Nepal now has a foreign currency reserve of 20.41 billion, an increase from US $19.50 billion in mid-July.
