KATHMANDU, Nov 10: Ncell users can now experience better and faster mobile Internet in Kathmandu valley. The GSM operator has completed network upgradation in the Kathmandu Valley, enabling its subscribers in the Valley to avail high mobile data speed of up to 21Mbps.

"The upgraded network enables our customers in the Valley to stay connected with their close ones and the world much easier and faster. With data speed of up to 21Mbps, I am sure our customers will love to surf the Internet, stream videos and connect with remote family and friends," Erim Taylanlar, CEO of Ncell, said in a statement."The latest enhancement in network capacity is a major achievement to boost data connectivity after launch of 3.6Mbps mobile Internet service in 2010, which made it possible to watch video content online smoothly without buffering in mobile devices," the statement added.

Taylanlar further said Ncell will upgrade capacity outside the Kathmandu Valley as well.

Under network upgradation, Ncell has installed base stations with increased capacity and less weight, addressing concerns that emanated following the April 25 earthquake. These base stations have been built in compliance with regulations defined by Nepal Telecommunications Authority, according to the statement.
