KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the party should maintain its identity in the upcoming election.

He said that the NC should play its role in maintaining Nepal's international credibility. He said, “Nepali Congress leadership should have a firm foothold now. Forgetting the moment of the party's election, the immediate gain, the loss, the Nepali Congress Party must maintain its identity today. It is not a matter of who said what to protect Nepal's national interest.”
“The Nepali Congress, unlike others, does not have the character of saying one thing while in the government, and another thing while out of it,” he said.
