In this connection the army has effectively mobilized its personnel in 284 VDCs in 14 districts affected by the April 25 massive earthquake and continues the search, rescue and relief operation today also, the NA Directorate of Public Relations stated in a press release on Tuesday.
A joint team of the NA and the Armed Police Force pulled out three bodies from the building rubble at Gongabu in Kathmandu and three bodies from the building wreckage at Lamabagar in Dolakha district late night on Monday.
Likewise, the army operated flights using different helicopters belonging to it ferrying rescue teams and relief materials to the earthquake-affected Sindhupalchok, Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dhading, Kathmandu, Ramechhap, Dhading, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok, Rasuwa, Okhaldhunga, Dolakha, Makwanpur and Sindhuli districts on Tuesday.
In this connection, the army rescued 225 injured and sick people, including 18 foreign nationals from various places in Sindhupalchok, Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dolakha, Kavrepalanchok and Dhading districts yesterday, the NA stated.
The army also ferried large quantities of relief materials by air and surface route to Sindhupalchok, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Kavrepalanchok, Okhaldhunga, Makawanpur, Sindhuli, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Nuwakot, Dhading, Rasuwa and Gorkha districts until late in the evening. RSS
