Motorcyclist dies from injuries sustained in Kathmandu road accident

The deceased has been identified as Lok Bahadur Sunar, 28, a resident of Ramechhap Municipality–5 who had been living in Jorpati, Kathmandu, according to Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.

KATHMANDU, Jan 12 : A man critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Gaurigaun, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–13, died during treatment, police said.



The deceased has been identified as Lok Bahadur Sunar, 28, a resident of Ramechhap Municipality–5 who had been living in Jorpati, Kathmandu, according to Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.

“The motorcycle bearing registration number Ba 71 Pa 5889 collided with a tipper truck (Ba 4 Kha 2898) late last night, seriously injuring the rider,” Subedi said, “He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at KMC Hospital.”


Another person riding on the motorcycle was also injured and is currently receiving treatment at KMC Hospital in Sinamangal. Police have taken the tipper truck driver into custody for further investigation.
