Minister Rana provides financial supports to quake-hit

PALPA, June 8: Minister for Land Reforms Dal Bahadur Rana has provided Rs 200,000 to the earthquake victims of Palpa district. Minister Rana offered his three months' salary and additional Rs 50,000 from his personal secretariat to the quake-hit families of his hometown.

Minister Rana handed over the amount to Chief District Officer and Coordinator of District Natural Disaster Relief Fund Bishnu Kumar Karki on Sunday in the district headquarters. He also said that the government has decided to waive two year's land revenue to the earthquake affected communities.At a programme organised by the District Disaster Management Committee on quake effects and its management in the district, Minister Rana said that some people having no home have also flocked to bag the relief amount and materials claiming that their houses were collapsed by the quake.

Likewise, Minister Rana visited Sahalkot, Bakamalang, Jyamire, Rampur, Mityal, Jhirubas, Chhahara, Kusumkhola, Mujhung and other quake-hit VDC in Palpa district. RSS
