Adding to the controversy, an arrest warrant issued by the Surkhet District Court against him has gone viral online. The warrant stems from a case filed on June 28, 2024 by Dr. Sojan Sapkota, head of Mehelkuna Hospital in Gurbhakot Municipality-8, Surkhet. Sunar has been charged with vandalizing the health facility and assaulting a health worker.
The court has directed the District Police Office, Dailekh, to arrest Sunar— a resident of Bhaisekhor of Narayan Municipality-2 in Dailekh — and present him before the court within seven days.
