After mounting dispute between Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Vice-chairman Bhattarai factions over control of power in the sister wings, Bhattarai faction trade union leaders had threatened to boycott convention.
"The national conventions has been postponed. The date will be fixed after consulting with the leaders of the sister wing and their in-charges," the statement said.
All Nepal Hotel and Restaurant Association under Maoist Trade Union close to Bhattarai faction had threatened to boycott convention by forming a parallel committee.
Maoist trade union is main cause of the disputes since there are three factions close to Chairman Dahal, then senior vice-chairman Mohan Baidya and vice-chairman Bhattarai.
After failing to solve disputes in the Trade Union, the party had nominated party secretary Post Bahadur Bogati as trade union chief by dissolving all three parallel organizations of factions - close to Dahal led by Shalik Ram Jamkattel, led by Badri Bajgain close to senior vice chairman Baidya and Lal Dhwaj Nembang led organization close to Bhattarai.
After the party split, Maoist reinstalled Shalik Ram Jamkattel as chief of Trade Union after Dahal faction threatened they would not help gather people in Kathmandu for a mass meeting. Maoist has around 30 sister wings.
