Coordinator of commission Sherchan, said investigations were under way on complaints against the party leaders and it will be made public by September 27.[break]
According to him, 20 complaints of the 65 recieved were focused on advices to the party leaders. He said that the investigation would be completed by Wednesday.
"As the coordinator, I cannot disclose the nature and details of the complaints at the moment, however, what I can say is that there has been corruption in our party," Sherchan told a program organized by the Reporters Club in the capital. He addeed that the report would have all the details when it is released.
Maoist had formed two separate probe teams in July after party cadres halted Maoist plenum demanding investigation into financial irregularities by party leaders and in People´s Liberation Army (PLA) cantonments.
The three-member commission led by Post Bahadur Bogati had been assigned to investigate financial irregularities in cantonments and other one is under the leadership of party standing committee member Sherchan who has been assigned to investigate financial irregularities by party leaders.
According to Sherchan, complains were registered against both high and low ranking Maoist leaders.
The party cadres have been criticizing their leaders and blaming them of involvement in corruption. They also accused party leaders of forgetting the dreams of "martyrs" and of deviating from party ideology and spirit.
They also accused their leaders of acting like ´owner´ and treating them as ´slave´.
