KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to invite leaders of 11 different political parties to the inauguration ceremony of its eighth General Convention to be held today.
The party is holding its convention at Nepal Academy Hall, Kamaladi in the afternoon. Earlier, the Maoist Center had decided not to invite guests to its national convention.

In a statement issued on Sunday morning, party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that he was going to hold the eighth national general convention for new revolutionary ideas and formation of a revolutionary party.
