KATHMANDU, Jan 30: A man, who went missing after jumping into Karnali River on Wednesday afternoon at 14:30 pm, has been found dead in Humla.
According to the District Police Office (DPO), Humla, the deceased has been identified as Harka Dhan Singh, 47, of Kharpunath Rural Municipality-5, Humla.

After the locals reported the information that Singh has gone missing after jumping from the river located in Yanchu Bazaar, Kharpunath Rural Municipality-1, a five-member police team under the command of Prakash Bahadur Aidee along with the locals immediately dispatched from the temporary police station for the search operation.
During the search operation, police discovered the dead body of Singh in the Karnali River, approximately 1 km from the place where he had jumped. Having recovered the body from the river, police handed it over to the family.
