The deceased have been identified as Bibek Mandal, 14 of Matihani-5, Anish Chaudhary, 16 of Bhramarapura -7, Ramwati Devi, 40 of Sahodawa-8, Jagadish Sah, 32 and Manoj Kumar Sah, 31 of Ekarahiya -2.
However, the identity of the two killed in the incident has yet to be ascertained.
Eight pilgrims died and 40 others were injured when a passenger bus heading for Bardibas from Langoor River of Sindhuli district met with an accident at 3:20 pm on Monday.

Six had died on the spot and two others had breathed their last while being rushed to hospital. Of the eight killed in the accident, seven are male and one female.
According to the police, the bus (Ja 1 Kha 449) was over speeding when it lost control and veered off into a stream. All of the passengers in the bus were Bol Bom pilgrims. Police suspect most of them are from Dhanusha and Mahottari districts.
The injured are receiving treatment at various health centers in Bardibas.
