POKHARA, Feb 27: Vice-chairman of the CPN-UML and Deputy Prime Minister Bhim Rawal has said the border blockade and agitation to be carried out by the Madhesi Front would not get the support of the Madhesi people themselves.

Speaking at a meeting with the party cadres organised by the UML Kaski district unit here on Saturday, DPM Rawal said that as the new constitution has not discriminated against anyone, the Madhesi people will themselves resist any form of agitation to be waged by the Madhesi Front.

He also warned that the government would take stern action against the movement or general strike to be waged by any group and aimed at creating chaos in the country and disturbing the normal life of the people in one or the other pretext.

DPM Rawal said all the border transit points on the country's northern border would be opened and agreements reached with China for the supply of one-third fuel import and transit facilities during the Prime Minister's visit to the northern neighbour after some days. RSS
