KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that demands put forth by the Madhes-centric parties regarding the constitution would be addressed.

Addressing a program organized here Friday on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of Event and Venue Association of Nepal, the President of the NC, a major partner in the incumbent CPN (Maoist-Center)-led government, said genuine demands of the Madhes would be addressed through talks and negotiations.

Leader Deuba was of the view of maintaining political unity to enforce the constitution effectively and thereby taking the country towards the path of development.

CPN (UML) Secretary Pradeep Kumar Gyawali said the constitution argued that it would fall under threat if the elections of all three bodies were not hold within the next 16 months.

Nepal Chamber of Commerce General Secretary Kamlesh Agrawal called on the government to cooperate with the private sector to achieve economic progress in the country. RSS
