The hotel entrepreneurs, however, are pushing the government to extend the time for running the hotels and restaurants.
Earlier, political parties active in Chitwan district issued a press statement calling upon the government to not extend the tenure.
Similarly, Chitwan National Park Buffer Zone Management Committee urged the government to pay necessary attention to management and conservation of the rare wildlife species including Bengal tiger, rhinoceros, said Yam Bahadur Pariyar, Chairman of the committee.
He also warned of staging a stern protest if the government extended the license to run the hotels deep inside the Park area.
The then government in 2011 had extended the license of the hotels until July 15 saying the removal of the hotels could affect Nepal Tourism Year 2011. There are six hotels operational inside the park.
Various business organizations including Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry have been exerting pressure to the government for the extension.
