KATHMANDU, April 12: The daughter of Sabin Maharjan, who tragically lost his life in the Tinkune incident, will receive free education.
Umesh Shrestha, the Treasurer of the Nepali Congress, has committed to providing free education to Maharjan's daughter after learning about the family's financial hardships. Shrestha announced that he had arranged for the deceased’s daughter to receive free education up to class 12.

"After discussing with Sabin's family, I learned about their difficult financial situation and their wish to provide a good education. As per their request, I have arranged for Sabin's eight-year-old daughter to study for free up to class 12 at the Laboratory School in Kirtipur. I have also coordinated with the school administration and the mayor of Kirtipur Municipality regarding this matter," Shrestha said.
Shrestha, who has long been involved in the education sector, expressed his commitment to supporting the education of the child who lost her parents, driven by humanitarian concerns.
Usha Raut Mishra, President of the Nepal Women's Association and Lily Thapa, Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission, informed Shrestha about the family’s situation and requested him to make the necessary arrangements.
