KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Lalitpur Metropolitan City has started mobilizing its municipal police personnel for cycle patrols since last Friday.
The metropolis said that the initiative is mainly aimed at promoting Lalitpur as a clean and beautiful city.
The cycle patrol usually takes place between 9 AM and 5 PM on a daily basis.

The police personnel make sure that hoarding boards that advertise alcoholic drinks, tobacco products and vulgar pictures are not installed at any place in the metropolis.
The cycle patrol will check the inner streets of the city as well.
The main objective of the initiative is to end the various anomalies in society and create a pollution-free environment.
