KATHMANDU, Jan 12: Leader Hari Dhakal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has attributed the breakdown of potential collaboration between Rabi Lamichhane, Balen Shah, and Kulman Ghising primarily to Kulman’s style and lack of integrity toward shared goals.
Speaking to reporters, Dhakal said, “Kulman was not honest toward the objectives. His style was completely different.”

He said that while the party was willing to accommodate newly joined members with leadership positions, Kulman’s approach and demands diverged from their expectations. “We are elected lawmakers, newly inducted into the central secretariat, yet we were ready to assign posts to new colleagues. Despite that, his style remained different,” Dhakal said.
Dhakal emphasized that in politics, commitment to goals outweighs mere numbers. “We remain faithful to objectives, not numerical strength. Public sentiment should be prioritized. Kulman was unable to do that; his focus remained on numbers and positions,” he said.
Responding to Kulman’s claim of being sidelined or “held hostage” in the process, Dhakal rejected the assertion, stating, “That’s not true. Ask him about his own conscience.”
Explaining the collaboration breakdown, Dhakal said that disagreements over numbers and post allocation were apparent from the beginning. “Discussions shifted back and forth constantly—from morning to evening. This wasn’t just a suspicion; it reflected his persistent style,” he said.
